Second
A Second is the Standard International(SI) unit of time. It is abbreviated as s or sec. A Second is equal to 1/86400 of a day. A Second is defined as the time taken by 9,192,631,770 cycles of radiation that comes from electrons moving between two energy levels of the Caesium-133 atom. There are 86,400 seconds in one day, 3600 seconds in one hour and 60 seconds in one minute.
Minute
A Minute is a unit of time equal to 60 seconds or 1/60 of an hour. The symbol for minute is min. The term “minute” comes from the Latin, Pars minuta prima, meaning “first small part”. One hour contains 60 minutes and one day contains 1440 minutes.
